WXPN recently selected Pennsbury High School East freshman Marisa Purdy’s art work to be featured as its holiday card. Purdy’s design was created for the 17th annual Kids Care Project, a program that allows hundreds of young artists the opportunity to brighten the lives of elders in the community by creating art for them. A collaborative project between WXPN’s Kids Corner, The Woodmere Art Museum, The Philadelphia Senior Center and dozens of area schools, the students’ art will be on display through December 19, 2010. All artworks are made as gifts, delivered to homebound seniors in the region. For more information, visit woodmereartmuseum.org.
